I have been a teacher and coach my whole professional career. I retired from South Dakota State University in 2013 after 31 years. Eight years as an assistant football along with being the Head Baseball Coach for 20 years. After some health issues, I was the Intramural and Sports Club Director upon returning to work. My final position was Assistant Wellness Director at the SDSU Wellness Center.I am married to Rebecca Sanders Ekeland. We have two grown children.
