Long time since I've even been to Rapid City. Have been teaching physics and astronomy at Randolph-Macon College since 1986, plan to retire after 20-21 academic year. Married Sylvia in 1974. Our daughters are the Rev. Amy Spagna (42, Episcopal priest) and Kim Cruz, Esq. (38, attorney, works for DC Superior Court. Kim and her husband Mike are expecting our first grandson in June.

I've served on Ashland, VA Town Council since my first election in 2004, including 4 years as Vice Mayor and 2 as Mayor. Will retire at the end of my current term, which runs until 2020 June 30.

Update: Grandson Evan Michael Cruz just turned 1 year old on June 1st. We haven't been able to visit due to pandemic lock-downs, but we hope to make it sometime this summer. Amy is now the Rector at St. James Episcopal Church in Woodstock Vermont. We were able to be there in February for her installation by the Bishop, before coronavirus shut down everything.

Update 2022: Pandemic still here (surprise), but we've been able to see daughters and grandson (now 2 1/2). Amy still in Vermont. Kim in line for Administrative Law judge in DC, waiting Senate confirmation of the person she'll replace who was appointed to federal bench. Life is good!
