Fifty Years ? WOW ! Did they just fly by !! I left Rapid City for Montana, early the morning after graduation. I had a job driving a tour boat in Glacier Park waiting for me and that was the start of a career in the boating industry that lasted for nearly twenty years.
In 1983 I married my wife Jan, and in 1988 we had the first of two boys. I decided I needed a real job,one that did not suffer the ups and downs of the marine industry so I went to work for UPS.
In the last fifty years I have returned to South Dakota for family reunions, weddings, a couple holidays, and some pheasant hunting trips. I am always amazed how the town I was born and raised in has grown and grown.
Work has kept me from attending the last reunions, but now I am retired, and I will not miss this one.
Western Montana has become a part of me and at least two other classmates. That said, I look forward to seeing the old town, school, and friends.
